A History of Four Families
SIMONS
SIMONS (Simmons)
NAUDAIN HARDCASTLEThe author is happy to testify that in study of the history of these four closely related families much has been found to inspire thankfulness, not too much to regret, and nothing to conceal. In each generation there seems to have been a good proportion of loyal Christian citizens who served faithfully both Lord and Neighbor.

Loading folder data to the prototype Digital Archive Room.**Test Data Only
under development and testing. 2 folders have been entered. much more shortly.
The physical folder that you are holding in your hands needs some work to transfer to our Digital Archive Room. The steps are roughly:
- prepare a physical label to plop onto the folder cover. How to make the folder is explained later.
- the folder data will need different methods depending on contents. some of the sheets are simple letter sized printouts. these may be scanned with the auto feed scanner. other sheets may need to be photographed with a camera to get page images. if the content is a dvd, it will need to be converted to a file and referenced as a hyper link in the folder.
- prepare a directory containing all the images for the folder.
- use the app on the laptop to make a special pdf file containing all of the images.
- upload the pdf file into this museumdb app at the proper location.
- upload the pdf file into google drive and microsoft one drive.
- thats it.
i am going to prepare a video that explains the steps in detail. the link to play it will be here.

Access to the prototype Digital Archive RoomYes, the prototype Digital Archive Room is now ready for testing. There are 2 active folders entered with more in the works.
And yes, you can browse for folder data or search by keywords!
To access, merely use a browser or cellphone and go to address museumDB.CarolineHistory.online. (Instructions on becoming a registered user in in a different How Do I topic.).
To access a folder, simply go to a Category of interest, then to a topic within the Category. The various Cabinet folders are exposed. Clicking on a topic gets you a summary of the folder (if one was generated), or the pages within a folder.
You can also access this folder with your cellphone. Simply look at the folder and you will see a special label with a QR code. Use your cellphone camera on the QR code and your in.
Looking for archive data using keywords is now possible. You would use your laptop and go to the Google Drive account at museum@CarolineHistory.online. (password available for select users). Then simply search using the Text Keyword feature. You would be presented with a list of folders containing the search keyword(s).
You may of course use Google Docs to search within the folder for the exact pages.
